Holiday Portrait Fun! Northern Virginia Holiday Portrait Photographer.

Happy Holiday's everyone! As you all might know, I  had  a slew of holiday portraits about a week ago.  I'm a bit behind on blogging them for you and I do apologize for that! In an attempt to combine them all I put together a little slideshow of a few images from each session for everyone to see.  Please excuse the quick blips in between the sessions-it's simply because I only have so many words I can include. I attempted to write my own Twas the Night Before Christmas poem but I have to admit I'm not much of a poet and it sounded terrible!

Also, I had intended to include some gift ideas for everyone and never got around to it either! Photos are great ways to share your memories with your friends and family.  They are all my family asks for every year for Christmas!  Starting today, December 13 through Saturday, December 17th I will offer FREE SHIPPING on any of the following products ordered:

Holiday Card Special Extended!

In the spirit of the holidays I've decided to extend the holiday card special until midnight on Friday.  This means if you book your session before midnight on November 25th you will receive your first set of 25 cards free. Sessions have begun filing up very quickly so don't wait to book your session!

Here are the card designs you have to choose from.  In most cases colors and text can be modified however the number of images on each card can not.

I just love watching these little ones grow! Baby T started coming to me when she was first born and I absolutely love seeing how much she has grown in the past 8 months! She has a smile that can light up a room and a beautiful personality as well.  Here are some of images from her session-try not to smile when you see them-I dare you!

Fall Family Portrait Session in Beautiful Mount Vernon, Virginia.

I was so pleased to finally meet this family! After some unfortunate reschedules we were finally able to do their portrait session.  Our first location, the Grist Mill and Distillery,  was so pretty and historic, however we weren't able to stay very long! For all you other photographers out there, FYI, they do not allow you to take photos while they are open!  Luckily we snapped a few before we were politely asked to leave.

After leaving the Grist Mill we drove down the beautiful Mount Vernon Parkway and did the remainder of the session at  Riverside Park along the river.  It was very pretty!  Here is a preview of their session.  Enjoy!

Holiday Hours, Deals, and More...

So here it is, the holiday information everyone has been waiting for me to post!

My hours are changing as of next week so please pass this on.  I will be accepting sessions Monday through Friday from 10am-11am, and 1pm-4pm as well as Saturday from 9am -12pm.  I will not be booking sessions on Sundays nor will I answer emails or phone calls on Sundays.  Holiday sessions will fill up quickly so PLEASE book your sessions as soon as possible. Due to my limited availability it is very important that you arrive on time for your scheduled session as well.

I will not be holding mini sessions this holiday season but will still be offering the same deal from the mini sessions last year.  All holiday portrait sessions booked before November 20th, 2011 will receive a set of 25 Holiday cards with the session. *  There are lots of designs to choose from and all of the designs I have can be customized as well.  The cut off for holiday card orders is December 9th.

Also, in an effort to spread these sessions out throughout the week I'm offering a 10% discount on any sessions booked on a weekday! This is just to help spread sessions out during the week so they aren't crammed into the weekend.

Who loves cake? This little man certainly does! As soon as his mom set the cake down in front of him he had it everywhere.  My favorite part of this session was watching him play in the sink during his clean up.  He was very determined that he could grab the water coming out of the faucet. It was adorable! Happy Birthday little man and thanks for letting me in on the fun!

I love doing holiday portraits while it's still warm outside! This family was a lot of fun and full of energy.  We took a lot of photos in the comfort of their own yard that way the kids could run around and play and feel comfortable.  I had the best assistant ever for this shoot too-my adorable little girl! She was in charge of eating dum dum's and making everyone smile.  Here is a preview of their shoot, however I have excluded all of the family group photos simply because they wish for them to be a surprise for their Christmas cards :)

Love is in the Air! Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer. Occoquan, Virginia

The first thing you will notice in these images is that this couple is completely in love!  They are both so nice and were so much fun to work with.  We spent this wonderful evening trolling around beautiful Occoquan, Va enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of this historic little town.  Thanks guys for a fun evening session and I wish you both the best in the future. Hi all! This was my second session with this little beauty.  I couldn't get over how much she has grown since her  newborn session. She is so tiny and petite and has the prettiest hair!  She was an absolute doll and it was great seeing her mom, dad, and big brother as well! I am looking forward to her next session already!

Shooting for a Cause

Hey guys! I’m back and in action once again! The kids and I had a GREAT time while my husband was home for his R&R! While it was sad to see him go back again, at least it means we are half way through. But for now, it’s back to reality!

I thought I would blog about my recent membership with the Yellow Ribbon Photographers.  First, the Yellow Ribbons Photographers was founded in 2010 and consists of group of non-profit photographers that are dedicated to taking professional photographs for families of servicemen and women.  I am honored to be a part of such an amazing organization, especially since I am an Army wife and have experienced what it feels like to be separated from your loved ones as well. I feel like this is just one way that I can give back to those families that sacrifice so much everyday.

I offer a package consisting of a free one hour session for deployed soldiers and their immediate families. This session can be booked either right before a deployment or for the immediate family while the soldier is on deployment.  This package also includes 2 free 8x10’s and 2 free 5x7’s from your session so that both you and your loved one can have copies.  I will personally mail your prints overseas to your loved one when they are finished.  You will also receive an online portrait gallery to view your images and share with your loved one while they are away. 

Also-don’t forget about the Watermelon Mini Sessions this Saturday, July 23^rd!! Who doesn’t want to stay cool with some nice refreshing watermelon?  There is still time to book your session so don’t wait!  Don’t forget to be on the lookout for a lot of new things happening the end of this month, especially the launch of Red Bedroom Boudoir! Steppin' Out for a Bit but I'll be Back Soon!

Hey guys! Just wanted to give everyone a little heads up that I will not be scheduling any sessions from now until July 18^th.  This is because my husband (which many of you know is in the Army and deployed) will be home for his R&R! Therefore, we will be taking advantage of the little time he has home to spend as a family.  We are very excited and have many adventures planned! However, I will still be booking sessions and responding to emails during this time. If you don’t get a response right away please be patient..I promise I will get back to you! Don’t forget about the Watermelon Mini Sessions on July 23^rd, there are still spots available! I can’t wait to hear from you all so we can begin or continue to create memories together!! Be on the lookout for lots of new stuff towards the end of July including the launch of Red Bedroom Boudoir (finally!)  I hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend and stays safe!
