This family was a lot of fun to photograph.  We had a beautiful spot a long the Colonial Parkway in Yorktown and perfect weather as well.  I have to say what I loved most about this family is their great sense of humor-it really helped in capturing their laid back personalities on camera! Northern Virginia Holiday Sessions

It may not seem like that time of the year, but it is right around the corner! Get a head start on the holidays and book your holiday sessions now.  I will be in the Northern Virginia area for Holiday Sessions on November 17th and 18th only! There are a limited number of sessions available so don't wait to schedule yours-they will fill up fast!

All sessions this year will be on location-whether it be in your own home or an outdoor location of your choice.  Sessions are $150 and include an hour long session, private online gallery, and 24 holiday cards.  If you book your session by October 31st you will also receive a complimentary set of address labels OR gift tags.   Once your session is scheduled I will provide you with my holiday card catalog so you can preview my card designs.

*Due to the nature of these sessions payment will be required in full when you schedule your session.  If you feel you need to cancel your session and do so no less than 7 days prior to your session a refund will be issued.

Dog Days of Summer | Northern Virginia Portrait Photographer

 I had a wonderful time hanging out with this pup and her owner! Lucy was a wonderful dog and has a really awesome person taking care of her. She is definitely treated like a part of the family! Here are some shots from their session. Enjoy!

So many changes...

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for being so supportive and patient with me with the passing of my mom.  I knew it was coming but had no idea it would happen so fast and it hasn't been easy.  I have to tell you, that you guys, my clients, were wonderful and I really appreciated all of the cards and kind words. It has definitely helped to deal with the pain and loss. Thank you!

I know this does not come as a surprise to a lot of you but for those of you who didn't know, the military is moving us next weekend.  As a military wife it's something I have to do and deal with, business or not, and all I can do is make the best of it! One day, we will stop moving, and things will get easier but for the meantime I have to make the best of it and support my husband.

That being said, you will be happy to know we aren't going far! We are headed to the Hampton Roads area (yay for being close to the beach!) and I have every intention of continuing to schedule sessions in the Northern Virginia area.   I will be scheduling them on the weekends of course, so don't hesitate to call me to set something up! Like I said, I'm not far.

To kick off the new move I am having a weekend of mini sessions in May! I will be doing them May 20th and 21st.  The location is still to be determined and I will post more information soon.   Email, call, or message me to set up your session if you are interested.

Lastly, if you know anyone in the Hampton Roads area that is interested in my work please refer me to them! It's not easy to pick up and go when you are trying to run a business so I really do appreciate any and all help from all of you!

Welcome Baby J! | Northern Virginia Baby Photographer

I had been looking forward to this newborn session since I met Baby J's parents at his mommy's maternity session!  This little guy is adorable...and boy was his session exciting!  You know, when you take photos of a newborn baby without a diaper on something is bound to happen! This little guy left me a nice present while I was happily clicking away with my camera :) It still makes me laugh when I think about it. I can just picture his parents telling this story to his first girlfriend years from now!  Here is a sneak peek of their session... enjoy!

Valentine Mini's | Northern Virginia Portrait Photographer

 My Valentine Mini's went off without a hitch this year.  The kids seemed to really enjoy it and had fun with the different props, not to mention the candy that was on hand! Miss L had the cutest facial expressions throughout her session and kept me highly entertained while her sister was wonderful and did everything I asked! The other two you will most likely recognize as my own kids and they too really enjoyed this! I let Conner decide his own "set" hence the guitar and writing his name on the wall! Baby A 3 Months Old | Northern Virginia Baby Photographer

It was so nice seeing this little cutie again! I can't get over how much she has changed from her first visit. She was full of smiles and coos on this particular visit. I really enjoyed photographing her beautiful smile! 

John+Sheila=LOVE | Occoquan, VA Engagement Photographer

Well, this engagement session was like none other! I met this wonderful couple at 9am in Occoquan, VA and it was a balmy 28 degrees outside! Talk about cold...oh my goodness! They were both fantastic though, never complaining about being cold!  The entire session was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed working with them both. Here is a sneak peek from their session. Enjoy!
