A Pinkalicious Themed Birthday Session | Yorktown, VA Children's Photographer

This session was a lot of fun! When Miss A's mom called and mentioned using 7 giant balloons I was thrilled!! I couldn't be happier with how these turned out!  She was an absolute doll to work with and the weather was better than I could have imagined for January!  So here you go...

Happy First Birthday Baby Z! | Yorktown, VA Children's Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing this cutie just before her first birthday.  She was a doll and so funny! She made sure to find anything that would slide on the floor to move herself around the room.  Z was definitely on the move!  I think she enjoyed playing with the small chair and pink stool more than she enjoyed her cupcake!

Thank you "Z" for allowing me to capture your one year photos!

Look at that adorable smile!

She was a little unsure of the cupcake but loved that stool :)

A Painted Masterpiece.| Yorktown, VA Children's Photographer

It's pretty obvious how incredibly behind I am on blogging...so I'm going to play some serious catch up here today.  Hopefully I don't overwhelm everyone and confuse you because it's entirely possible things will go a little out of order :)

I had been wanting to try this for quite awhile.. I kept picturing how much fun it would be for the kids to use paint, make a mess, AND have me capture it in photographs.  Well I got my opportunity to try it while Conner was home sick from school ( because if you have to stay home sick from school you might as well have fun, right?).

The kids loved this..they painted for about an hour after I finished taking photos.  They thought it was awesome that I WANTED paint on their faces and feet.  I believe the look on Addie's face was pure shock that I was allowing it and naturally she added plenty more once I finished with photos.  I hope I can do something fun like this again soon...because believe me I have LOADS more ideas!

So here are some of the images of the kids painting their masterpiece.  Feel free to pin on Pinterest, all I ask is that you please pin from the original source ( right here ).  Thanks!
